Praise for Bahrain’s strong economic recovery plan

Bahrain has made big strides in economic development. This was emphasised by Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, pointing out to the positive indices achieved by Bahrain in implementing the economic recovery plan.
She noted that the financial and economic indicators and the results included in the international reports reflect the efforts made by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Speaker was speaking as she held a meeting yesterday with the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. She lauded the Minister’s role, alongside his team, in implementing and following up on programmes and procedures included in the economic recovery plan and the fiscal balance programme.
Speaker Zainal also praised the success achieved in a record time which helped overcome many repercussions that resulted from the coronavirus pandemic. Shaikh Salman thanked the Speaker for the continuous and constructive cooperation between the legislative branch and the government.
He praised the rapid response to the government’s economic and financial proposals to maximise the national gains under the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Speaker pointed out keenness of the Council of Representatives to provide full support to the national efforts in carrying out programmes to enhance the national economy and ensure a better future for the nation and citizens.
She commended the government’s ongoing initiatives to achieve the economic recovery and implement citizen-oriented projects through cooperation between the executive and legislative branches and working with the one-team spirit according to a comprehensive vision.
