Preparations are underway for the Kingdom’s hosting of a Bahrain-UAE joint drill by end of this year to boost military cooperation in fighting terrorism and maintaining regional security.
This comes as Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Deputy Director of the Bahrain-UAE joint anti-terrorism drill (Jelmoud 3), His Highness Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chaired yesterday the meeting of the exercise’s high organising committee, which was held in the presence of military and security officials.
During the meeting, the high committee for the preparation of the exercise reviewed the preparatory work and means of military coordination within the framework of promoting cooperation, raising readiness and exchanging field experiences of the participating parties.
HH Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Khalid pointed out that terrorism, in its various forms, is the main threat to security and stability in the world, which makes addressing this danger a priority that requires more cooperation, coordination and training.
He affirmed that the joint exercise reflects cooperation within the framework of deep historical ties binding Bahrain and the UAE.
