Push for Bahrain women’s active role in media sector

Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary-General Hala Al Ansari has stressed the importance of intensifying cooperation in joint projects to ensure Bahrain women’s sustainable participation in the media sector.
Al Ansari was speaking as she received Information Affairs Minister Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi and discussed issues of common interest. She highlighted media support to SCW’s plans, programmes and initiatives within the framework of the National Plan for Bahraini Women Development and its impact on the standing of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a pioneering country in spearheading women’s advancement.
They stressed the need, mainly, to highlight Bahraini women’s achievements in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
During the meeting, they highlighted the fruitful efforts undertaken by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and SCW President. The SCW Chief wished the minister success in assuming his duties.
Dr. Alnoaimi hailed the SCW’s national roles, chaired by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Khalifa, to support Bahraini women and maintain family stability. He stressed the ministry’s keenness on strengthening partnership with the council, in recognition of the importance of the issues to women and family.
