The Al Sanabis gas station, which stopped functioning a week ago after Bahrain Petroleum Company halted supplying fuel citing contractural violations, reopened yesterday.
The fuel station, run by the Sanabis Cooperative Consumer Society, announced yesterday through its Instagram account that it is resuming operation.
"The fuel station of the Sanabis Cooperative Consumer Society has been reopened," the society said. "On this occasion, we would like to thank the senior management and all Bapco employees for their great efforts and cooperation."
Bapco, in a statement released a week ago, had said, The Sanabis Cooperative Station has not complied with its contractual agreements with Bapco. The statement added that they are ceasing the fuel supply "until full compliance to the contractual agreement."
Last week, over 30 employees at the Sanabis station and association shared their concerns about losing jobs amid the standoff.
