She added that the ministry is geared towards attracting quality tourism investments and enhancing networking with representatives of key tourism markets around the world.

Al Sairafi added that the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has witnessed a remarkable increase in the hotels and restaurants sector.

She pointed out that the latest economic report on the performance of the main economic indicators for Q2 2022 in Bahrain, showed that the hotels and restaurants sector recorded a strong growth of 18.1%, in comparison with Q2 2021, in real terms.

She highlighted that the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority has doubled its efforts to access key markets for international tourists and has successfully built promising partnerships with 76 tour operators that operate regionally and internationally.

Al Sairafi said that the “Exhibition World Bahrain”, will be inaugurated next November. This will aid in achieving the objectives of making Bahrain a regional hub for conferences and exhibitions.

World Tourism Day in Indonesia will focus on reimagining the growth of the sector in terms of size and significance, as well as on the development of the tourism industry through education, investment, innovation, and technology.

It will highlight the importance of the tourism sector in creating jobs, especially for women and young people, as well as promoting social and economic inclusion and more sustainable, inclusive tourism.
