BIC congratulates winners of racing simulator competition
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) announced yesterday the first two winners of its racing simulator competition, currently being held as part of the lead-up to the FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain.
Ameen Aljaroodi with a fastest lap of one minute 17 seconds and Ali Mteirek with a best time of 1:03.500 have emerged as the first two winners.
BIC invited the public to test their driving skills in a high- tech racing simulator located at its sales stand at Bahrain City Centre. The fastest driver of each week, over the course of three weeks, will claim an invitation for themselves and a friend to attend BIC’s official Welcome Party of the FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain.
The highly anticipated race weekend is the eighth and final round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. It is scheduled to take place on November 20 and 21 in Sakhir.
The Welcome Party will be held on November 18 as BIC honours its guests for a high- octane weekend filled with racing and entertainment.
A first try on the simulator will be free, but for a second try, participants should have a Six Hours of Bahrain ticket. Registration with full contact details can be done at the venue. The BIC sales stand at BCC and the racing simulator are located on the ground floor of BCC’s West Court, near gate number three. It is open throughout mall hours and BIC staff is on hand at all times to assist any customers.
The new stand gives race fans an additional venue, from where they can purchase tickets to the upcoming FIA event.
Tickets can also be purchased online at the BIC website www.bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17-450000. Tickets cost BD10 apiece for the entire weekend. Children aged 15 years and younger can enter absolutely free.
