Support for health sector among Bahrain’s priority projects

Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has affirmed the great support accorded to the health sector within the priority of implementing major development projects in accordance with the economic recovery plan. He indicated that work is going on to build on what has been achieved to meet the development requirements in various sectors.

Shaikh Salman was speaking during a meeting yesterday with Chief Physician and Chief Executive of the American Mission Hospital, Dr George Cherian, and the hospital’s Board of Directors in the US.The Minister praised the hospital’s prominent role in providing medical services to citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He pointed out that the construction project of King Hamad-AMH hospital, which was announced as part of the economic recovery plan, is an extension of the good reputation enjoyed by this medical edifice and its contribution to the health sector.Dr Cherian and the board members expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister, voicing keenness on achieving more success to further serve the health sector in the kingdom and support distinguished relations between Bahrain and the US.
