Bahrain based Filipino visual artist takes part in Greece international art fair

Filipino visual artist Butch J. Paje, a member of Interaction Art Bahrain, participated in the 7th International Action Art Fair held in Athens, Greece on September 16-21.
Paje stood as representative both of Bahrain and the Philippines in the prestigious event, which was organised by global organisation International Action Art, with the support of the Group for Unesco Piraeus and Islands.
He was supported by Ms Marina Dimitriou, president of Interaction Art Bahrain. The seven-day event consisted of artistic activities. The daily program included workshops, masterclasses, and tours of important monuments, while their works were exhibited at the new Marianna V.
Cultural and Education Center Vardinoyannis, of the Piraeus and the Islands Unesco Group. The ceremonial activities and awarding ceremony were led by Ioannis Maronitis, president of the Greek Federation Unesco Clubs-International Action Art.
Aside from Bahrain, participants in the seventh artistic meeting included internationals artists from Greece, Cyprus, Qatar, Iran, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Georgia, Ukraine, Germany, Romania, India, Egypt, Armenia, Canada, Chile, Paraguay, Cuba, France, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, Mexico, Cameroon, Libya and Bulgaria.
The event was a grand success with its aim to focus on dialogue between artists from different countries and the promotion of countries and people of the arts internationally.
