His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the late His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa’s multiple achievements and contributions to the nation in the religious, social, political and humanitarian fields.
HM the King recalled HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid’s virtues, great services and dedication to the national development process, affirming that he is considered one of the personalities whose achievements will remain engraved in the national memory.
HM King Hamad was speaking as he received at Al Safriya Palace yesterday the President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid for Parental Care, Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and several centre members.
They presented HM King Hamad a copy of a documentary book entitled “Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid The Preacher, Thinker and Historian”. They also presented His Majesty a film highlighting the virtues and stages of the life of HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid.
HM the King expressed thanks to them for the valuable book containing information and historical documents that reflect important parts of the life of HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid.
He also commended the noble humanitarian role and charity work undertaken by the HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid for Parental Care, which was established in memory of the deceased and his distinguished humanitarian services.
HM King Hamad expressed pride in the national work pioneers who had laid the foundations of the comprehensive development and had their imprints and honourable stances throughout Bahrain’s long history.
The SCH President expressed thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for praising the virtues of the deceased, wishing HM the King abundant health and happiness.
The book was published by the Al Hekma Retired Society and written by Khalid Abdulla Abu Ahmed, under the supervision of Dr Saeed Al Sammak, Vice President of the Al Hekma Retired Society
