HM King Hamad performs Friday prayers, shares greetings on Prophet's birth anniversary

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday urged all to follow the life of the Prophet (PBUH) and his teachings that fosters the values of brotherhood, coexistence and peace with everyone.
HM King was performing Friday prayer at Sakhir Palace mosque marking the anniversary of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with their Highnesses, members of the Royal Family and scholars.
The celebration, called Mawlid al-Nabi or simply the Mawlid, like many other Islamic celebrations, is a sign of respect and adoration of Prophet Muhammad. On the occasion, HM King reminded all that the life of the Prophet (PBUH) and his tolerant teachings foster the values of brotherhood, coexistence and peace with everyone.
“His life laid the foundations for humanity and the highest levels of progress witnessed by the civilization of Arabs and Muslims,” HM King said, thanking Muslims for their pride in the religion and adherence to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.
HM King prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Muslim world, wishing the Arab and Islamic Nations many happy returns and further progress and prosperity. His Majesty and the attendees heard the Friday sermon by Sunni Endowments Council Chairman Dr Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, who spoke about the blessed life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the anniversary of his birthday.
King Hamad then hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the attendees, including ministers, members of the Royal Family and scholars. HM the King and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday also exchanged greeting with the leaders of the Arab and Islamic countries, Royal family members, and ministers.
HM King and HRH Prince Salman wished brotherly countries and people further progress, development and prosperity.
