World Champion HH Shaikh Nasser receives hero's welcome in Bahrain

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa took pride in the achievements of Bahrain in the youth and sports sector, congratulating HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his victory in the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Endurance Championship.
The Royal Endurance Team, under Shaikh Nasser’s captaincy, had won the title of the FEI World Endurance Championship for eight-year-old horses in Spain, outclassing 57 elite riders representing 20 countries in the 120km race.
“This achievement reflects the advanced position enjoyed by Bahraini endurance sport and the continuous development it is witnessing,” HM King said during a meeting with HH Shaikh Nasser, HM’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Royal Endurance Team Captain.
HM King congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser and took pride in his global achievement and outstanding performance. Bahraini athletes and youth, HM King said, had spared no effort to honour the Kingdom in all sports arenas.
King Hamad praised the Royal Team riders and their resolve to honour their country. Earlier, upon his arrival in Kingdom, HH Shaikh Nasser was welcomed at the Sakhir Air Base by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative, President of the Supreme Council for Environment.
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, senior officials and ministers, were also present.
Shaikh Abdullah congratulated Shaikh Nasser on his achievement in the World Endurance Championship in Spain, wishing him continued success in bringing about more accomplishments for Bahraini sports.
HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad stressed that the great victory reflects the high level and distinguished performance of the Bahraini endurance sport.
