Bahrain municipal services to complete digitisation in Q1 2023

By the first quarter of 2023, Bahrain will have completed the digital transformation of all its municipal affairs services, said a top official.
For a hassle-free process, the authority will also launch a smartphone app for citizens, residents and investors to access all these services, said Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs.
He also assured that the newly launched version of the ministry's website would enable users to access 75% of the municipal services online by the end of this year.
All these efforts would make municipal services accessible through platforms, including the national portal Bahrain.bh and mobile applications, without needing in-person attendance or physical forms.
Muhammad Adel Abu Hassan, the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information, said the ministry reengineered many procedures for municipal services and launched a tender for creating a unified platform for municipal digital services, which supports the methodology of Rapid application development.
