Bahrain proud of citizens' wide-ranging achievements: HRH PrinceSalman

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday expressed pride in the citizens of Bahrain whose contributions have resulted in the Kingdom achieving wide-ranging developments in its decades-long history.

“The Kingdom is proud of their achievements, which they built with determination,” said HRH Prince Salman, stressing that their contributions will remain immortal in the memory of generations to come.

“These men and women will remain a beacon for future generations to help them achieve more for their country,” said HRH Prince Salman. In this regard, HRH emphasised the importance of preserving the historical legacy of the Kingdom by documenting its achievement in line with the comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

This came as HRH Prince Salman received a copy of the book “Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid .. Preacher, thinker and historian” written by Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa at Gudaibiya Palace.

The book, HRH said, is an “important historical reference and is a testament to the impact that the late Shaikh has left on the Kingdom.” According to the President of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Centre for Parental Care, the book follows the biography of the late Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa and his achievements that positively influenced society.

Receiving the book, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his pride in the Bahraini citizens who have contributed to the Kingdom’s wide-ranging achievements. Shaikh Abdullah expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for his continued support of the documentation of the Kingdom’s history.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Charity Educational Endowment, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki and several senior officials were present.
