213 traffic accidents in Bahrain due to rain
Drivers have been urged to be cautious while driving, especially when it rains.
General Directorate of Traffic's Traffic Culture Director Major Osama Bahar said that statistics show that 213 traffic accidents were reported last year because of the rain. He thus called upon road users to stick to traffic rules and keep the safety distance between vehicles, as well as to concentrate more on driving especially during rain.
The tyres should be in good condition as the drivers will find it difficult to suddenly brake their cars if the tyres are unmaintained. It is also important to reduce speed near traffic signals, he added.
