Health Minister Dr Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan has stressed the importance of hosting medical conferences and exhibitions in Bahrain.

“Visions and concepts concerning the latest technologies are exchanged at these events, while the latest international developments can engender the best health practices being utilised in Bahrain, ultimately improving the nation’s standing in this area,” Dr Jalila said.

The Minister was speaking as she patronised the seventh edition of the International Dental Conference and Exhibition, which will be held tomorrow until 6 November at the Crown Plaza Hotel.

The conference will be organised as part of a strategic partnership with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), in cooperation with the Saudi Dental Society.

Dr Jalila said that by hosting the seventh edition of DLS Bahrain, the Kingdom reaffirms what a supportive environment it provides for scientific research centres across many areas of health and care.

Furthermore, Bahrain is establishing itself as a nation where experts and practitioners working in health can meet to discuss ideas and developments in the sector.

The continued success of DLS Bahrain also reflects the great development seen in the dental health area.

The level of service provided to citizens and residents has been enhanced and has improved the effectiveness and sustainability of the system.

The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to strive to provide the highest quality standards for health provision.
