Bahrain Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlights importance of dialogue in promoting peace

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received, at Shaikh Hamad Palace, the heads of the delegations participating in Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence, being from 3-4 November, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to upholding the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence, as well as facilitating intercultural and religious dialogue, which are the core pillars of the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted Bahraini citizens’ longstanding openness to cultural diversity and inclusion, which has ensured the Kingdom remains a diverse home to many and place of religious harmony.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasised that Bahrain will continue to be a nation of peace and tolerance, and noted the Kingdom’s wide-ranging commitment in hosting a broad range of forums and events that cultivate mutual recognition of beliefs and the exchange of ideas, and have contributed to strengthening regional and global peace and stability.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of the Forum, which serves as a powerful means for promoting dialogue and spreading the spirit of peace despite global challenges.
His Royal Highness expressed his hopes that the Forum’s successful outcomes will contribute to achieving these goals.
His Royal Highness then hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the heads of the delegations participating at the Forum, which was held in conjunction with the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis, Sovereign of the State of Vatican City, and His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Mohamed El-Tayeb, the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Grand Imam of the Al-Azhar Mosque, to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the invitation of His Majesty the King.
His Majesty the King's Special Representative, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
