Batelco supports BTECH through membership deal

Batelco, the Kingdom’s leading communications & ICT solutions provider, has signed a membership agreement with BTECH (Bahrain Technology Companies Society) to support their efforts in the ICT sector.

BTECH was established in 2012 to support the Kingdom’s vision to improve economic efficiency by developing ICT companies and helping them to excel.

Batelco likewise realises the importance of ICT on the economy and accordingly supports a number of technology events and organisations annually and also continuously enhances its business portfolio to ensure the latest ICT solutions are available for its customers.

Batelco Bahrain CEO Muna Al Hashemi, who recently met BTECH Chairman Ubaydli Ubaydli, said Batelco was very pleased to take membership with BTECH.

“Both organisations are fully committed to fostering the growth of ICT organisations in the Kingdom. The development and growth of ICT plays a crucial role in Bahrain’s economic growth and helps to maintain the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading regional hub for business.”

Ubaydli thanked Al Hashemi and Batelco for the support to BTECH saying that he was delighted to have Batelco on board as a member of the society.

“Telecommunications companies always play a major role in all modern societies and Batelco has a tradition of being a pioneer in the Kingdom’s communications history and in promoting community initiatives,” he said.

Ubaydli continued, “As one of the principal wealth- creating entities of our society, Batelco took the responsibility to be one of the leaders to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s social and economic development, and in contributing to progress and prosperity in every sphere.”

“We in BTECH believe Batelco will have a qualitative positive impact on Bahrain’s future activities, especially those related to corporate social responsibilities. This creates sustained and ideally ever-increasing growth for the BTECH plans as well as projects, products and services, all the while ‘serving’ the ICT market. This will help BTECH achieve its goals through an innovative approach,” Ubaydli added.
