‘Choose hope, not fear’ in fight against breast cancer

The extensive range of awareness campaigns and events organised by Middle East Hospital & Medical Centers, a reputed private healthcare network in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in connection with the Breast Cancer Awareness titled ‘Think Pink’ last month garnered remarkable public praise and acceptance.

A series of eight awareness programs were welcomed by scores of women from various organisations like Eskan Bank, Vida Hotels & Resorts, Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Bin Hindi Group, Awal Gulf Manufacturing Company, Health 360 Ancillary Services, KMCC, and Ahli United Bank.

In line with the committed endeavours of Middle East Hospital & Medical Centers to pervade and promote public knowledge on major diseases and health conditions, the leading healthcare provider adheres firmly to the idea of raising mass awareness through such social-centric initiatives.

The team of healthcare experts from Middle East urged on the need and importance of ensuring better prevention, early detection, prompt diagnosis and proper treatment to fight breast cancer.

The interactive sessions at these events discussed prevalent causes of Breast Cancer, and the effective ways to treat it. Workshops were conducted that guided the community on self-breast screening, and signified the key merits of periodical medical check-ups and advanced clinical and diagnostic investigations which help for the early detection of breast cancer occurrence.

Ameliorating lifestyle habits and practices was equally stressed by them for thwarting cancer possibilities.

The panel of doctors from Middle East Hospital & Medical Centers emphasised on the imperative need to enhance the accessibility of diagnostic methods such as Breast Ultrasound, Mammogram etc. to all walks of life in every part of the world as early detection is the cornerstone of Breast Cancer control.
