BKS-DC Book Fest and Cultural Fest set

Over 5,000 titles will be displayed at the upcoming BKS-DC Book Fest and Cultural Fest that will be held at The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam from November 10 to November 20.

Apart from the exhibition and sale of books, there will be interactive sessions, art installations, mass painting on big canvas, photography exhibition, cultural events, sports quiz, grandma stories for kids and many other exciting and engaging programmes.

Renowned poet Anwar Ali will inaugurate the fest at the DJ Hall, where Indian Embassy Second Secretary Ijas Aslam will be the chief guest. The fest will have the great presence of renowned Indian journalist Karan Thapar, Indian Parliamentarian, writer and orator Sashi Tharoor, prominent Malayalam writer M Mukundan, leading journalist Jose Panchipuram and many others.

Speaking to members of the media yesterday, BKS President P V Radhakrishna Pillai said the fest will be a celebration of diverse cultures and intellectual spaces. BKS General Secretary Varghese Karakkal said cultural events will be an added attraction to the book fest.
