The private sector in the tourism and hospitality industry are the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s key partners.
This was emphasised by BTEA Chief Executive Officer Dr Nasser Qaedi who said that their collaboration is crucial to the success of the forthcoming tourism season.
He added that all organisations involved in the tourism sector or events industries must be very well prepared for Bahrain Festive Season as unprecedented numbers of visitors to the Kingdom are expected.
This initiative was highlighted over the course of several meetings held with the representatives of the tourism and hospitality sectors and the commercial malls who discussed ways of future collaboration between the BTEA and the private sector through presenting the Authority’s plans and initiatives to achieve a higher impact on the tourism economy.
“Many suggestions were relayed by our partners, and we are here to cooperate constructively with them,” Dr Qaedi said.
“Working together facilitates idea generation and creativity resulting into highest returns from the upcoming Bahrain Festive Season.” These meetings were held in preparation for Bahrain Festive Season, a calendar full of events and activities.
These include the celebrations of the national holidays, New Year’s Eve as well as several major exhibitions, including Jewellery Arabia, the Bahrain International Air Show and the annual Bahrain Grand Prix, with estimates of higher visitors than in the record year of 2022.
