Electoral silence begins in Bahrain

Election silence will begin in Bahrain today, 24 hours before voting in the Parliamentary and municipal council elections.
All candidates should stop all forms of campaigns today from 8 am, said the Higher Committee for Supervising the Safety of Elections.
The committee reminded all that a healthy democratic atmosphere is necessary for a free and fair election. Voting begins on Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm.
Separately, Information Affairs Minister Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi, announced the opening of the 2022 Parliamentary and Municipal Elections Media Centre at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain.
He said the media centre is equipped with all technical, administrative and technical services to cover elections smoothly.
