These agreements include the most recent recommendations by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for airline safety regulations, aviation security, environmental protection, multiple designations of air carriers, as well as opportunities for national airlines to engage in activities and sell air transportation products, as well as automated booking systems.

Hussain Ahmed Al Shuail, Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs, stressed the significance of these signed agreements and their positive impact on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s growing aviation sector. The agreements also provide benefits to the national carrier Gulf Air, which includes the provision of air transport rights.
