Tremendous success of BIAS 2022 highly significant for Bahrain

Curtains came down yesterday on the sixth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2022, which elevated the status of Bahrain as one of the top airshow destinations around the globe with massive international participation.

The show, which had over 100 civil and military aircraft on display, was termed a "tremendous success" by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as congratulations poured in from all walks of life, celebrating the success.

In a congratulatory message to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH wrote, "BIAS 2022 is a highly significant addition to the national achievements accomplished by Bahrain under the comprehensive development process launched by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa".

"Bahrainis have invariably demonstrated that they are capable of facing challenges, thanks to the great motivation and wise directives of HM," HRH Prince Salman wrote, expressing pride in the achievement.

HRH further commended the efforts of the Supreme Organising Committee headed by HM King’s Personal Representative, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to make BIAS amongst the world’s most important international shows, thus enhancing the status and competitiveness of Bahrain.

HH Shaikh Abdulla said the continuous success of BIAS earned the kingdom international acclaim, which will help increase investments in the exhibitions industry and aviation field to support the national economy. HH said that HM the King’s care, directives and follow-up have led to the success of such an international aviation event.
