International book fair opens at Bahrain Keeraleeya Samajam

An international book fair and cultural festival, organised jointly by the Bahrain Keeraleeya Samajam and DC Books, opened doors at BKS premises in Segaiya.
Indian Embassy First Secretary Ravikumar Jain inaugurated the book fair. In his opening address, Mr Jain said that books can be our best friends for all right reasons and will act as a guiding force in our life.
Chief Guest and well-known author Anvar Ali praised the efforts of the BKS and its members in realising the fair. Ravi DC, the CEO of DC Books, was present. BKS President PV Radhakrishna Pillai viewed the book fair as a "celebration of cultures".
Varghese Karakkal, Daily Tribune Chairman P Unnikrishnan, Literary Secretary Firoz Tiruvatra, Fest convenor Shabini Vasudev were present. The book fair, having over 100,000 books with 2000 titles on display, began on Thursday and continues until the 20th of this month.
