Royal boost for Bahrain-UK strategic partnership

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, has highlighted the importance of the strategic, progressive and longstanding partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he received yesterday the United Kingdom Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, Air Marshal Martin Sampson, at Riffa Palace.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister welcomed Air Marshall Sampson and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Royal Highness commended the active cooperation between the two countries at various levels.
He noted the significance of continuing to develop joint cooperation, particularly in military and defence coordination, in support of regional and maritime security. The latest in regional and international developments and issues of common interest were also discussed.
