Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) will host the highest ranked badminton tournament, the Al Sharif Group Bahrain International Challenge, from November 29th to December 4th, 2022, under the patronage of the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation (BBSF).
This tournament is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation under the regional Badminton Asia confederation and it the 4th highest level tournament on the badminton circuit around the world.
This year’s event promises to outdo last year’s with the participation of some truly global names, and it is entirely organized by the BKS, led by President PV Radhkrishnan Pillai and General Secretary Varghese Karakkal.
The tournament organizing committee is led by Paulson Lonappan, the indoor games secretary.
Triptiraj, the tournament director, assists him in running the main event. Every year, a large crowd attends the tournament, and with the BKS’s facilities, nearly 5000 spectators are expected to attend over the course of six days.
Entry is free and open to the public, with refreshment stands and the opportunity to interact with the players throughout the BKS officials at a press conference week.
