Bahrain adopts an approach and a noble human mission to strengthen the pillars of dialogue and human fraternity among the peoples of the world.

This was emphasised by Information Minister, Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, yesterday as he participated in the second day sessions of the Global Media Congress held in Abu Dhabi.

The event coincided with the International Tolerance Day, which is observed worldwide every November 16. Dr Al Noaimi said that the Kingdom has launched many pioneering initiatives in this field through a royal vision that believes that human coexistence, tolerance and dialogue are an essential pillar to support the efforts of countries in the field of comprehensive and sustainable development.

He affirmed that the “Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence”, which was held under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s patronage, was as a culmination of a series of landmark initiatives stemming from Bahrain’s historical and civilised model in the field of peaceful coexistence.

It coincided with the historic official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence Grand Imam Sheikh of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed Al Tayyib, the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, as well as the announcement of the establishment of the “King Hamad Global Award for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence”.
