SCW’s role in empowering women lauded

 Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the SCW’s role and efforts to support and empower Bahraini women, as well as consolidate equal opportunities through incorporating their needs in the development process at all levels.

 In his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Hala Al-Ansari, here yesterday, the Minister reviewed the cooperation between the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry and the SCW.

 He commended the fruitful results of the existing cooperation between the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, the Supreme Judicial Council and the SCW, citing the role of the Family Reconciliation Office in settling family issues before resorting to courts.

 Al-Ansari lauded the efforts exerted by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, as a main partner in implementing the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women, regarding family stability and keenness to develop the judicial system in order to take women’s specificities into account.

 She also praised the role of the Supreme Judicial Council in this regard.
