Stage set for much awaited Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra concert

Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra will stage a concert at the Bahrain National Theatre next Sunday evening. Led by its founder Maestro Dr Mubarak, the orchestra marks the tenth anniversary of the theatre.
The concert will be part of festivities marking Bahrain’s National Days.
The orchestra will play pieces, “Scheherazade” by Rimsky Karsakov, the ballet music “Swan Lake” by Tchaikovsky, “Carmen” by Bizet, and other famed pieces.
The concert also features solo performances by the international pan flutist Liselotte Pokyta from the Czech Republic, the British trombonist John Milgate and the promising Bahraini violinist Aseel Al Jabal.
The orchestra, including Bahraini qanun player Mohammed Asiri and flautist Ayman Barjas, will present a collection of wonderful Bahraini and Gulf melodies.
Concert tickets are sold at Virgin Megastores in the City Center complex, or through the store’s website.
