Royal praise for Bahraini customs workforce

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, commended the efforts of the Bahraini workforce in the Kingdom’s customs, who always work in the best interests of the country and citizens. HRH Prince Salman hailed the Bahrainis for adopting international best practices that cement the Kingdom’s position at the international level in this important sector.
His Royal Higness made the statement as he met with the Chairperson of the World Customs Organization (WCO), Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and members of the WCO Policy Commission, at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the vital roles played by customs authorities in supporting global economies and promoting economic development. He welcomed the members of the committee on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom, noting the outcomes of the committee meeting, which was held for the first time in the country.
His Royal Highness commended the efforts of the WCO headed by Shaikh Ahmed, wishing it further success. The WCO Chairperson and the WCO Policy Committee members expressed their thanks and appreciation for His Royal Highness’ support in promoting customs work and wished the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
The Advisor to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Interior, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
