Riyadh summits to reinforce MidEast-China ties, say HM King, Xi Jinping

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Xi Jinping, the Chinese President, said the Gulf-Chi na Summit and the Arab-China Summit would reinforce the long-standing cooperation and strategic partnership between the Middle East and China.
“The growing ties would develop to the benefit of everyone in the region,” HM King and Xi said. The meeting during the Gulf-China Summit in Riyadh was in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HM King told Xi that the Kingdom had tremendous pride in its close ties with China and mulled ways to develop cooperation across several sectors, including economics and trade, investments, and science.
In this regard, HM King Hamad commended the role of the Chinese community in the Kingdom and their laudable contributions to promoting economic and commercial development in Bahrain. HM King also thanked and appreciated President Xi Jinping for his interest and keenness to strengthen Bahrain-China relations.
The leaders also discussed various regional and international issues and developments of mutual interest. HM King further expressed his appreciation of the significant role of China globally and its interest in achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
His Majesty also hailed the Chinese President for strengthening cooperation with countries in the region to boost development and support the global economy.
