The successful hosting of the GCC, GCC-China and Arab-China summits by Saudi Arabia proves the keenness of the kingdom to enhance joint GCC action, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HM King made the comments in a cable of thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, following his departure from Riyadh.
Following the summits, His Majesty King Hamad was seen off at the King Khalid International Airport by the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, and senior officials.
HM King, in the cable, thanked King Salman for the warm welcome and hospitality, which HM said reflects the long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations and their strength in all fields.
The summits, HM King said, show the keenness of King Salman to enhance the joint GCC action and strengthen cooperation with China. “Strengthening ties with China will serve the shared GCC and Arab interests, achieve the best for their brotherly peoples and safeguard the region’s security and stability, as well as enhance its progress.”
