Bahrain congratulates Morocco over historic qualification to World Cup semifinals

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday congratulated the Moroccan national team for their outstanding performance in the 2022 World Cup, calling it “unprecedented in the history of Arab football.”

HM King congratulated the 1-0 victory of Morocco over Portugal to qualify for the Semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Yesterday’s win also made Morocco the first Arab and African team to achieve this historic achievement, for which HM congratulated King Mohammed VI and the people of Morocco.

“This honourable and great global achievement, the deserved victory, the heroic performance of the Moroccan national team is unprecedented in the history of Arab football,” said HM King.

“We are pleased with this outstanding performance by brotherly Morocco and their great effort, which enabled them to reach the semi-finals,” added HM King.

HM Majesty also wished the team success in their next match.

In a statement, HRH Prince Salman called Morocco’s victory “well-deserved.”

“We congratulate brotherly Morocco, King, Government and people on this honourable achievement,” said His Royal Highness.
