Nepalese murder: Mystery in killer’s FB accounts

 Friends and colleagues of Til Kumar, who was arrested for the murder of a Nepalese man, claimed that he had acted strangely on social media websites in the past few months.

 Kumar, 25, reportedly created multiple fake accounts before the murder of his colleague Dipendra Basnet. 

 He uploaded a video from a Facebook account by the username 'Reemen Tpm' showing the blood soaked dead-body of Dipendra. The Facebook account wrongly states that he works at Papa Johns Pizza, although he is employed by the company SecuriCORE and assigned to work at a popular mall as a security guard.

 Friends of Kumar queries that since he is unable to read or write English, how he was able to write in English on his Facebook account. They suspect that he writes in English on his fake account and in Nepalese on his actual account. They added that Kumar was known for his erratic behaviour and drinking problems. They said that he dropped out of school in 7th grade.

 "He must have a reason as to why he uses English on his fake Facebook accounts, because it does not make any sense at all, especially since he does not know how to read or write in English, who is helping him to write in English? We all use the Nepali language on our Facebook, we do not communicate in English at all," a colleague told DT News.

He added that the reason for the murder was still a mystery. "We are still baffled because there was no indication that there were any dispute between those two."

 Nepalese Embassy Third Secretary Om Kumar Bhandari said that the Embassy would inquire with Kumar's family in Nepal about his education. "We do not know if he writes in English. We’ll have to check with his family in Nepal."

 Kumar, who is currently in police custody, allegedly slit the victims throat following a personal dispute last Sunday night.

 Dipendra died of deep wounds on his neck, the body is now in Salmania Medical Complex (SMC).
