A woman has turned to the High Administrative Court to sue her husband who is refusing to apply for Bahraini passports for their two children.
The Court accepted her request, ordering the father to apply for the children's passports after the woman submitted proof that they are Bahraini nationals.
According to court files, the couple has been married for 18 years.
The defendant, however, rejected her calls to obtain Bahraini passports for the kids because of disagreements among them.
The couple is said to be close to separating, and the woman was named the custodian of the kids.
This apparently discouraged the defendant to take the necessary steps to apply for the passports.
As a result, the woman filed a lawsuit against him to ensure that their children receive the documents.
The High Administrative Court also ordered him to incur the costs of the case.
