The Cabinet has emphasised the importance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s address given at the opening of the first session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, in laying the foundation for national efforts in the next phase of the Kingdom’s progress and development.

The Cabinet highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Authorities, and building on the cohesion achieved for the benefit of the country and its citizens.

This came as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

Congratulations

The Cabinet congratulated HM King Hamad and HRH Prince Salman on the occasion of Bahrain’s celebration of National Day, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State during the era of its founder, Ahmed Al Fateh, in 1783, as an Arab and Muslim country, as well as the Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.

It also congratulated the people of Bahrain on this national occasion, commending the Kingdom’s wide-ranging achievements under its comprehensive development, led by HM the King. To mark Commemoration Day, the Cabinet paid tribute to the Kingdom’s fallen servicemen, who made selfless and noble sacrifices for the security of Bahrain and the safety of its citizens.

Following a review of a report by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Cabinet also commended the speech delivered by His Majesty at the opening session of the 43rd GCC Summit, which was held in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Cabinet also highlighted the outcomes of the Riyadh Gulf-China Summit for Cooperation and Development and the Riyadh Chinese-Arab Summit for Cooperation and Development, commending the efforts of Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in ensuring the success of the three summits.
