Riffa and Isa Town are shimmering with colourful lights, and people are swarming to the highways nearby as part of their plans to enjoy the holiday season in Bahrain.
As it prepares to celebrate its 51st National Day in Bahrain, one can observe people gathering nearby in the evening as soon as the sun goes down.
On December 16 and 17, the country commemorates the founding of the modern Bahraini Kingdom as an Arab and Muslim state in 1783 by Ahmed Al Fateh as well as the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne. Every year on December 15, fireworks will light up the sky as part of a number of festivities and programmes marking National Day.
Visitors gather in such areas, specifically to take pictures in front of the red and white Bahraini flag-inspired illumination, landmarks, and shopping centres. Even from moving cars, individuals can be seen photographing the beauty of the red and white lights.
Meanwhile, many people have painted their cars with red and white spray paint and stickers of Bahrain’s flag. The Daily Tribune spoke to a Bahraini resident who had come to watch the lighting as he was out and about in the area of Isa Town.
