A concert, “The Four Seasons”, composed between 1718−1720 by Antonio Vivaldi and performed by the “Young Italian Soloists”, was staged at the Cultural Hall.
The performance, co-organised by Italy’s embassy to Bahrain and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), was a great success, recording a full theater on Tuesday evening.
The Italian ensemble included solo violin Federico Bresciani, pianist Jacopo Salvatori, first violin Riccardo Caraceni, second violin Filippo Zucchiatti, viola Anselmo Simini, cello Ludovica Rana and theorbo Pedro Alcacer Doria.
The talented “Young Italian Soloists”, are experts in classical and contemporary music, having studied in prestigious Italian and European schools and play along some of the most renowned International orchestras, such as the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra and the WDR Funkhausorchester in Cologne.
The Soloists have astonished the large audience by their outstanding rendition of the Venetian genius Antonio Vivaldi’s highly virtuosic and worldwide famous pages of Italian music.
“The collaboration with BACA is excellent, and it reflects the great interest that Bahraini peoples have for Italian culture,” Ambassador Paola Amadei told the media.
“We have organised numerous events that always received extremely positive feedback from the public. It is heartwarming to see the special welcome that has been reserved to the Young Italian Soloists, who magnificently interpreted an extraordinary masterpiece of the Italian classical music.”
