Royal decree issued to restructure BQA Board of Directors

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday issued Decree (81) of 2022, restructuring the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), based on the proposal of the Deputy Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

According to the decree, BQA’s new Board of Directors shall be chaired by HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki and comprise the following members: Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Yara Redha Faraj, Sarah Ishaq Hassan, Dr Faisal Isa Hammad, Munther Abdullatif Al Mudawi, Amer Hassan Marhoon and Dalal Iqbal Sangoor.

The decree stipulates that the chairman and the first four members will serve for a four-year term, while the remaining members will serve for a three-year term. The decree shall take immediate effect, and should be published in the Official Gazette.

The Deputy King issued Decree (82) of 2022, appointing the Director-General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA), based on a proposal by the Foreign Affairs Minister, following the Cabinet’s approval.

According to the decree, Dr Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa was appointed as Director-General of the MBMA, with the rank of undersecretary. The Minister of Foreign Affairs shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
