A joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) commemorative stamp has been issued, the Bahrain Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced.
The Kingdom of Bahrain’s late Amir, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, is depicted on the stamp, along with other GCC leaders.
Full sheet of eight stamps will be sold for BD4 in Bahrain. The commemorative card and the first-day issuance envelope are sold for BD1 each, and they are available at the Postal Museum and all Bahrain Post branches.
The stamp will be issued by all countries of the GCC this month and will be available in all postal branches. The unified design was approved by the Gulf postal administrations to commemorate the 40th founding anniversary of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which was established in 1981.
The issuance of the joint stamp between the GCC countries comes within the framework of strengthening efforts in support of the joint Gulf action process, in a manner that translates the visions of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries.
