Bahrain's new botanical garden sparks excitement on social media

The new botanical garden being planned to be built in Hamad Town to diversify Bahrain’s economy and tourism potential has sparked excitement on social media over the past few days.
As the Kingdom has announced the new garden to strengthen tourism opportunities, the new project created anticipation amongst residents of Bahrain as well. According to sources, the garden will consist of three different natural reserves and include plants from all over the world like in Asia, Europe and Africa.
Many of these plants would not be able to survive in Bahrain’s climate so a designated greenhouse will be constructed for the exotic plants. Additionally, all features of the botanical garden such as an amphitheatre, medical clinic, prayer rooms and parks will be powered by solar energy.
The site will also include a designated walking and running track, which will motivate people to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and get some exercise with family and friends. The public took to social media to share their enthusiasm about the possible new exciting project.
One user said: “More projects like this and less malls.” Another netizen said: “Let us hope for some temperature-controlled weather, as it would be nice to walk through the garden and feel like we are in a different country.”
Lastly, another user shared: “It would be great if there was some protected dome for tropical and rare plants. That would feel like a heavenly space.” The Kingdom includes various types of malls for residents to enjoy; however, it looks like people are excited to receive a new announcement as such, as the new botanical garden can motivate those to get outside and enjoy nature. This will attract all types of people, especially those who have a passion and love for the outdoors.
