Push for strategies and initiatives to boost electricity and water sector

Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) Chairman Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed has stressed the importance of developing strategies and initiatives concerned with enhancing the electricity and water sector.
This came as Kamal visited the New System Control Center-NSCC project in Hidd, which costs about BD21 million. It is financed by EWA and SCADA system, and scheduled to be launched in first quarter of 2024.
He said that the project will contribute to maintaining the services provided by the EWA with the best quality, reducing maintenance costs and enhancing the operational efficiency of the electricity and water networks.
The new control center will also contribute to reducing environmental impact and minimising technical losses and efficiency in the production of electricity and water from production stations.
