Jordan’s stances key to Mideast security: Bahrain King

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday hailed the honorable stances of Jordan towards Bahrain and defending Arab causes, especially Palestine and strengthening joint Arab action.

The efforts of Jordan, HM King said, are instrumental in boosting efforts towards establishing peace, security and stability in the Middle Eastern region.

His Majesty said this during a meeting with Dr Bishr Al-Khasawneh, the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at Al Safriya Palace. HM King told Dr Al-Khasawneh that Kingdom is keen to push its ties with Jordan towards broader horizons of cooperation and joint actions to serve mutual interests and goals.

The meeting was in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HM the King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and National Security Advisor, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Foreign Minister, Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

During the meeting, Dr Al-Khasawneh conveyed to HM King the greetings and wishes of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein for further progress and prosperity. His Majesty praised the results of the fifth session of the Bahraini-Jordanian Coordination Council meeting, which signed several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding.

His Majesty valued the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein in consolidating the bonds of Bahraini-Jordanian brotherly relations. The meeting also discussed the latest development in the region and exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.
