HM King hails oil and gas sector key role in economy

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the efforts to increase Bahrain’s oil and natural gas resources and stressed its positive impact in supporting the national economy and sustainable development goals.
HM the King was speaking as he received HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was present. His Majesty was briefed on the results of the evaluation of unconventional gas resources in Al Joubah and Al Jawf layers located under Al Khaf and Onaiza natural gas-producing reservoirs.
HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his gratitude to HM King Hamad for receiving the nogaholding advisory and evaluation teams. He also expressed his appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his continuous support to advance the oil and gas sector in Bahrain.
