Unanimous approval sets road map for sixth term, says HM King

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday hailed the unanimous approval of the Government Action Programme as a road map that serves the interests of Bahrain and its loyal people during the sixth legislative term.

HM King said this in a cable of congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Majesty said the unanimous endorsement reflects parliamentary confidence in the ability of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the members of the Government to achieve the aspirations of the people of Bahrain.

HM King said he looks forward to continuing fruitful cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative branches, stressing trust in HRH for the future of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

King Hamad praised HRH Prince Salman’s dedicated efforts to bolster comprehensive development, enhance Government work and support vital sectors. In his reply, HRH CP, PM reiterated loyalty to HM the King, pledging to continue dedicated work and give priority to citizens as the ultimate goal of development.

HRH said that the endorsement of the Government Action Programme ushers in a new phase of national work led by HM the King. "The approval of the plan by the Council of Representatives, which showed fruitful and commendable cooperation, requires the efforts and cooperation of the Team Bahrain and the contributions of loyal citizens so that the paths of development continue towards broader horizons,” said HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Prince Salman further pledged continued cooperation between the executive and legislative, reiterating his commitment to solid partnership for the sake of the nation and its people.
