Dr Kurian receives MBA award

Dr Varghese Kurian, the VKL Holdings and Al Namal Group of Companies chairman, was honoured with the 13th Multibillionaire Business Achiever award (MBA).

Dr Kurian received the award from Kerala State Minister for Law, Industries and Coir, P Rajeev, during an honouring ceremony held yesterday at Le Meridian Hotel in Kochi, Kerala, India.

V P Nandakumar, the Managing Director and CEO of Manappuram Finance Ltd, Ajith Ravi, former honourees and top business leaders attended the ceremony.

The award also gains Dr Varghese Kurian his entry to the Federal International Chamber Forum (FICF), one of the richest and exclusive platforms for multibillionaires from around the globe.

FICF has as its members Kerala-based entrepreneurs and socially responsible leaders who have assests of over 1,000 crores. The ceremony also witnessed Minister Rajeev unveiling the logo of FICF.

Dr Kurian’s business empire includes real estate, property development and management, construction, health and hospitality divisions. He has been involved in real estate development from 1990, and is also well-known for his socialy responsible activities.
