Bahrain King participates in Arab leaders consultative meeting in Abu Dhabi

Bahrain is committed to supporting joint Arab action in facing challenges and building a more stable and prosperous future for all the peoples of the region.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday took part in the fraternal consultative meeting hosted by UAE President HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

Also participating in the meeting were Oman’s Sultan HM Haitham bin Tarik, Qatar’s Emir HH Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordan’s King HM Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Egypt’s President HE Abdelfattah El Sisi.

Themed “Prosperity and Stability in the Region”, the event sought to deepen cooperation between their countries in all areas that serve progress, prosperity and stability in the region through further joint action and cooperation and regional complementarity.

The Arab leaders discussed fraternal relations, cooperation and coordination between their countries in all fields that fulfill the aspirations of their peoples for a future in which the region will enjoy further development, progress and prosperity.

They also reviewed regional and international issues and developments of shared interest as well as the political, security and economic challenges facing the region.

Deep-rooted ties

The leaders emphasised the deep-rooted ties between their countries in various fields and their mutual keenness on communication, consultation and continuous coordination towards various transformations in the region and the world.

They stressed that cooperation and building economic and development partnerships both between their countries and at the Arab level in general are the gateway for achieving development and creating a better future for peoples in a turbulent world with shifts in various fields.

They also affirmed their common vision to promote stability and prosperity in the region and their firm belief in the importance of communication for the sake of construction, development and prosperity.

They stressed the importance of adhering to the rules of good neighborliness and respecting the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of the countries of the region.
