More than 90,000 laboratory tests for waste and treated water successfully conducted last year

The Ministry of Works has conducted more than 90,000 laboratory tests for waste and treated water from treatment plants.
More than 90,000 laboratory tests for waste and treated water received at wastewater treatment plants have been carried out by the Ministry of Works.
The Ministry’s laboratories also received water generated from various commercial and industrial activities last year Every month, there were 7,500 lab tests on average.
According to Eng. Abdulnabi Hassan Al Kufi, Director of the Sanitary Operation and Maintenance Department at the Works Ministry, improvements have been made to the lab environment in accordance with the most recent standards that are in line with the ISO requirements for chemical and microbiological analysis laboratories to ensure the highest standards of quality and effectiveness of produced water.
He noted that all sewage treatment plants in the Kingdom of Bahrain are subject to the control program that is supervised by the Ministry’s laboratories.
