Bahrain, Germany discuss parliamentary relations

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen parliamentary relations with Germany and exchange legislative expertise.

He praised the close ties between the two countries, and their development in various fields, which is reflected from the firm approach pursued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al Saleh was speaking as he received member of Foreign Affairs Committee at German Bundestag, Armin Laschet.

The Shura head praised the growing diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Germany and stressed the importance to enhance cooperation in various fields. Laschet expressed his pride in the deep historical bilateral relations and praised Bahrain’s contributions in supporting the principles of coexistence, tolerance and dialogue, and its fruitful work to spread peace and stability.

He hailed the Kingdom’s launch of Bahrain Declaration and stressed the reflection of noble civilisation and history of the Kingdom that made Bahrain a global model of multi cultures, civilisations and religions.
