Four men held guilty in riot case
The High Criminal Court has held four defendants guilty in a riot case. Two of them received five years behind bars, but the other two were given only three years because they are under 18.
The defendants are said to have been among the 10 masked protesters, who caused mayhem in Samaheej, where they set water tanks and tyres afire in an effort to hinder the traffic flow.
They also attacked police officers, who arrived to control the situation with stones and firebombs. The first defendant was nabbed at the scene, but his co-defendants were captured following police investigations.
